Commissioned to provide structural engineering input for the new retail space. We worked closely with the Architects to provide a design for the various elements forming the commercial space.

Key to maximising the architectural intentions was an understanding of historic construction which enabled us to gain sign-off through the checking engineer process.

The centre piece of the space is a three metre tall steel and tempered glass free standing display that houses a 1.4m diameter, diamond sculpture.

The structure has been designed to have a minimal sway even under crowd load conditions. Vibration modal analysis has been undertaken with the aid of a complex three dimensional FE model.
